Fostering is a wonderful lifestyle choice as well as an amazing role to undertake. We want to enable our foster carers to create some fun-filled memories together with the children and young people in their care.

We currently have a caravan at the Foxhunter Caravan Park in Monkton near Ramsgate, Kent. Surrounded by the seaside areas of Cliftonville, Margate and Ramsgate, there’s something for all the family to enjoy on trips out. There is also plenty to do within the holiday park for children and adults alike; the Foxy’s Kids Area is suitable for children of all ages, whilst the Water Garden enables adults to take a quiet, relaxing stroll and get away from the stresses of everyday life.

Tenerife is beautiful and a truly amazing apartment to say in. It has something for all ages. Shops and restaurants are only a quick walk away. The pools are ideal for teaching a child to swim for the first time; every time we have gone we have had the pool to ourselves. It is a gated complex so safety stop on!

We have had the pleasure of being able to go to the chrysalis Tenerife apartment. The safety of an apartment is very important to me, and I must say it is 2nd to none and in a gated complex, with 2 different of pools to choose from, both safe and secure.

The area itself is wonderful and there's so much to do if you want to and it's all so child friendly. The shops, restaurants and beaches are just a little walk. As well as being able to go fishing, dolphin watching, and swimming in the sea there are jet-skis to hire and paragliding if you’re more adventurous!

The apartment itself is huge, with 3 very big bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The living areas are a big welcome, along with 2 big balconies that BBQ on is a must. Both of my placements learnt to swim in the pools.

Our foster carers and families can venture out of Thanet to explore the City Of Canterbury, a mere 30 minutes away!

We also have an apartment in sunny Tenerife for our foster carers who would like to go abroad for some brighter weather and alternative culture. It is situated on the private complex of Sansofe Puerto in the town of Los Gigantes. Playa de la Arena beach is wonderfully local, being within walking distance. You can also walk into Los Gigantes with its picturesque harbour fronted by restaurants, shops and its own beach.

The complex itself has two swimming pools, private to residents, and a large lounge area to wind down after an adventure-packed day. The apartment also has a large terrace suitable for sun-bathing and barbequing… everything is virtually on your doorstep!

At Chrysalis Care we strive to ensure our foster carers, children and young people have enjoyable, fun-filled experiences. Our holiday homes are instrumental in ensuring our foster families are able to get away from the normality of life and relax.
